I can't believe people are honestly saying this is "SJW feminist propaganda". They have been putting feminist quotes in female villain's mouths for DECADES, either as self-delusion or to subtly discredit the sayings or ideas themselves. Like in the first live-action, when Cruella tells Anita she has a lot of potential and shouldn't throw her career away for a man. "I am woman, hear me roar" is literally a 50 year old quote. Also, yes, I agree Cruella is not the kind of villain that sets herself up for a sympathetic backstory (UNLIKE MALEFICENT, PLEASE ALSO SHUT UP ABOUT THAT) but what's funniest to me is that the people claiming this movie is "leftist sjw agenda all men are bad" blah blah (not the people asking for her to remain a villain. The ones on this line specifically) are exactly the kind of people to sympathise with the Joker. Boy am I gonna get whacked over the head with a bat for this comment.

I have to sleep on this final video and not taint my pleasant dreams after watching this amazing thing! I didn't even know I was such a Johnny Depp fan boy. This made me smile so much to see him being so socially perfect even outside the movie.

I really hope they play into the angle of the villain protagonist, instead of trying to make Cruella a tragic anti-hero like they did with Maleficent. I love villain protagonists and if done well this movie can be fantastic.

I'm actually so excited about this. Disney actually gave us a reason for one of their movies to be live-action. From the looks of it, it's how Cruella became Cruella, and about what people are saying about her female empowerment, I don't think that's what they're trying to do at all. I don't think it's going to be like Maleficent. I think they just chose that quote because it sounds cool. I can't wait to see this in theaters!
