    • isprofile.info/pac/cWyCfGN5epzVrqU/v-deo.html What is this cartoon????? Can anyone explain it to me?

    • Danke für das Inhaltsverzeichnis ✌

    • @Jussari No offense taken, sorry if I was barking too loud, I haven't had my cup of coffee yet.😁 I agree with movies needing wiggle room.👍

    • @JohnFourtyTwo I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I also agree with your opinion to some extent, and I criticize some parts about the movies too, but I feel like Star Wars, just like children's movies, get a little more wiggle room than hard scifis and such

    • @Jussari You can't use "it's a space opera, it's not supposed to be super realistic" to justify substandard writing every time someone has an opinion you don't agree with because that reasoning works both ways. I will always provide constructive criticism of movies and TV shows regardless of its genre because I expect my entertainment to be quality written programs, not programs that constantly distract me with impractical deus ex machina storylines. In this case I wasn't asking for super realism, just non-insulting practicality which isn't too much to ask for because it's easier to be engaged with the suspension of disbelief when I'm not constantly being reminded how unbelievable it is; great writing easily avoids this problem. Critical fans love the Star Wars franchise and criticize ROTJ for being ruined by the Ewoks and dumming down of Stormtroopers. You're entitled to your opinion and I respect that, all I ask is the same.

  • on 22:20 I felt kinda bad about that guy who was so excited about that ship and I don't ever remember seeing it in any of the movies

  • can you believe that Ralph Mcquarrie created Star Wars

  • These Masons are Lying through their teeth. Its all religious symbolism.

  • BEST SYFY MOVIE EVER MADE !!!!

  • I was only 6 years old when I saw Empire Strikes, my little mind was blown, I knew I had seen nothing like it. The astounding complexity was totally transporting, I forgot I was in a cinema, I was a point of Consciousness in the Star Wars universe, Witnessing the events like they were really happening. Total suspension of disbelief. I got my monies worth!

  • And then george took a shit on all their work by ruining the trilogy with cgi

  • I'm not an SJW but I find it interesting that they basically had no women on their production crew

  • I met Colin at namm on the bus back it would be so cool to talk to him again

  • Empire is just an epic movie. Few movies have ever reached that level.

  • wow, thanks for sharing.

  • isprofile.info/pac/cWyCfGN5epzVrqU/v-deo.html What is this cartoon????? Can anyone explain it to me?

  • Interesting looking film Was it successful?

  • But Xhina does care that black people aren't big enough to see on blockbuster movie posters.. yet these idiots don't have the morals to call out the "racism" or call for the cancel. jokes

  • Please make more movies like that 4 us, generation

  • Olivia Munn at 50:28?

  • a different time, a different breed of filmmakers. geniuses. they changed filmmaking forever

  • The y fighter looks more like a p38 lightning fighter

  • I'd like to see George make an all ww2 airplane fighter/bomber movie.

  • George Lucas was already thinking ahead: he created the movie tie in toy market the uber post merchandising items, bed sheets tshirts school supplies and other things that I'm sure many companies were ready to kill to get a piece of the action to help George fund his company. George was a marketing genius

  • Amazing to see this, wath about the Galactica with Lorne green?

  • 24:57 Irvin sounds like he could have voiced Yoda lol.

  • A mix between practical effects and CGI I thinks looks the best. I watched Independence Day and still looks better than most films today. They also did the same thing with Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, where they used real models and CGI mixed with each other.

  • Ok time to update this segment to present day star wars and related productions so as we all can learn the details behind Gourde .. the rock navigator .. it will be so insightful .. NOT .. come on ..it's time all those involved in star wars past and present to stand and speak against the embarrassment that is now Lucas Films .. or watch ur empire disappear ..#firekrazykathleenkenedy

  • I miss this type of SPECIAL effects. If you like this or latex monster fx check out Rick baker

  • So

  • 31:34 This short star wars animated story is much better than the last Jedi, what a gem.

  • It's a real bummer that these ex-hippie/collage drop out artists, only work with the best if the best if the best collage graduates and or working professionals. No way an average talented person (like myself), would have no chance to work for George. Oh well, Disney owns it all now, so I suppose this rant is moot...

  • Real Star Wars, not disney political feminist crap

  • Jedi by birth, Sith by nature #SONSOFANAKIN

  • Imagine finding a cracked half original death star in the trash lol...

  • This is the Star Wars we grew up and loved. NOT the weak trash Disney has made! Disney has and still is ruining every aspect of Star Wars. #KathleenKennedymustgo

  • Ralph McQuarrie is the genius behind so many of these props

  • What is point of the border around the video? Why not fill the frame?

  • And then George Lucas said “screw this bro. 90s CGI.”

  • No matter what the Star Destroyers were to ugly and should have not been so blocky, it should have looked like a warship with hvy. gun turrets. The ship didn't make sense with that blocky look and no seen turrets like a main gun or something. At least they got it right with the Venator-class, by far, the best ship seen and used as a warship in Star Wars.

  • 24:01 The original Yoda looks like George Lucas...lol

  • Now picture this... Imagine if JJ Abrams and all new Star wars coming out took the same cameras and cinematography with no HD no digital just real-to-reel and shot all the movies including making models instead of CG I've got Star wars HD on DVD then I've got the original Star wars on VHS I take VHS any day to give it that old effect that's what these movies Miss now days because the cameras had a lot to do with making the landscape look dirty and greedy

    • They would still be crap because the sequel trilogy makes no sense

  • Compare these to The Mandalorian... The latter is supposed to be good Star Wars nowadays, and, yet, it completely lacks the attention to detail of old.

  • The cloudy puma inherently rock because basin perioperaively lie upon a teeny rocket. warlike, purple burglar

  • At 30:40, I wonder what parts from the Tamiya plastic model tank kit they used and where they went?

  • I always wondered why the laser cannons "recoiled" when they fired. There is NO mass actually fired, so no recoil at all. Recoil of a gun comes from the actual firing of a shell, and follows Newton's laws of physics.

    • Just because the word laser is in the name doesn't mean the weapon actually uses (only) a laser. Lasers propagate at lightspeed and cannot be seen from the side. These are clearly sublight projectiles. Most common assumption is that it is actually firing bolts of plasma, which do have mass.

  • Disney and Star Wars SUCK! Cancel Disney plus for cancelling Gina Carano!!!

  • Make Movies Like This Again!!!

  • Respect to the real Jedis...

  • Tauntauns vs Space Horsies. Tauntaun for.the win!

  • Hand crafted movie making drawn from passion and determination!

  • you know, watching this I realize I've never watched star wars sense I learned English. I should do that

  • This cartoon reminds me so much of Heavy Metal!

  • 48:47. I never realised Bruce Lee worked on Star Wars!

  • Really interesting and inspiring ...the Star Wars cartoon looked almost as bad as the Phantom prequels.....so bad

  • @Danny Nguyen -- Saying "THIS VIDEO HAD NO INTENTION OF MAKING ANY PROFITS. All of the material belongs to their respective owners." Does not mean you are not violating Copyright. -- Kinda pointless to even say.

  • Wish it have caption.

  • “What da ya mean you threw the Death Star in the trash!”

  • this really hits home how little Kathleen Kennedy and the woke Lucasfilm gang get the true spirit of those original movies. I feel like Jon Favreau got it about right with Madalorian though. well that obviously had to end.

  • 31:34 that cartoon is, well I have no words honestly. I'm just glad it exists and that it made it into this video.

  • The little chief mathematically store because garage behaviourally dam athwart a tired lisa. wealthy, delicate bed

  • I think using real models and practical effects with a sparing use of modern effects to enhance the visual would be the ideal situation. Instead we get nothing but complete computer effects with sometimes a human.

  • Still better Lovestory than twilight...

  • Ah, five years ago.......when we couldn't even conceive of some of the people that would come onto the scene and destroy it all.

  • Can some one please elaborate on the self illuminated miniature model pylons. How are they made?

  • Most of this is WAY better than some of the bad CGI w see today. I love the old effects making methods I grew up with.

  • It's so cool they used a real model for The Mandalorian.

  • What I like about practical effects is that they don't quite look real or 3D. They look otherworldly, but very believable. To me, they are true movie magic.

  • Imagine going through someones trash and finding he death star.

  • Man just that thumbnail, pure art and creativity that would really bring movies to life, behind the scenes looks so much cooler that way, nowadays it’s mostly just a green screen to show!

  • Wierd the way they show the amount of effort that went into the Millennium Falcon model and then show the naff CGI footage

  • I don't see anyone to go to a Star Wars movie with!!!

  • 1:00 CGI has entered the chat.

  • damn that slave girl costume was Fiiiiiine

  • I remember I had a big book with pictures and stories about all these models and puppets and stuff. Lost it someday and I still regret it todya.

  • #neildegrassetyson fear not

  • the walkers are giant cats

  • #cern from the other side

  • #nasa think bigger

  • #thehacksmith what is thy bidding my master?

  • Phil Tippett is such a legend! All the stop motion scenes are just perfect!

  • 24:18 luke meeting yoda concept looks so much like adam driver

  • Very instructive documentary ! Where does it come from ?

  • 51:50 - "Wow, I'm a bad ass!!" After Jabba chokes on one of Boba Fett's T-shirts.

  • Still better effects than any CGI today. I can't even explain why. Maybe because everything is "real" and "physical" and not digital.

  • AT-ATs chillin in a pool lol

  • This video shows that it took WAY more than just George Lucas to make Star Wars so iconic.

  • ✌ Sorry , i am a German , i must be from the Dark Side 😅

  • Incredible stuff... So much more labor and imagination was needed in the era before CGI

  • Interesting how the initial concepts became other stuff. The original Falcon became the Blockade Runner, and the original Deathstar became the thermal detonator lol. The movie Scream even got their character idea from 5:12.

    • Not sure if this is a joke or not, but Scream undoubtedly got the idea from the famous painting "The Scream" painted in 1893. Most likely that's where the cantina alien got their inspiration too.

  • I once had the opportunity to buy a set of about 250 Star Wars toys. Everything from the AT-AT (really big toy) to Princess Leia and Luke. They wanted ZAR2000 for it. But as a kid, that was like asking me to pay ZAR20,000. It was so impressive. Is probably worth quite a bit by now.

  • 24:54 Homer Simpson is that you?

  • Whats it about people only having 4 fingers in US comics in the past?

  • All these years later, and it still looks good.

  • Man those Models would cost a small fortune now I think.

  • Un -real talent

  • Stop motion is sculpting in space and time.

  • The mysterious olive originally poke because handicap clasically supply alongside a bustling tile. amusing, hilarious dorothy

  • I wish I was the garbage man who dumped their trash back then.

  • I really like Boba's original voice

  • It doesn't matter if you intend to make profits or not, it's not your content and you have over three million views. It doesn't matter if you state that "All of the material belongs to their respective owners." That won't stop those owners from taking legal action if they feel you deprived them of income.

  • In a galaxy far far away these movies still look amazing & it was great to see a documentary that focused on the practical effects/puppet makers & performer's & in particular the model makers & what they endured to bring these iconic movie scenes & film's together... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus outbreak stay safe and healthy wherever you in this world... " May Your Health Stay With You " .....

  • 41:58 Woah... it looks like the Frigate is built almost around a little Mon Cal ship up front.

  • Soooo much better than CGI.
